Obituary of Maria Cristina Iucciolino

Maria Cristina Iucciolino May 30, 1948 – December 9, 2018 New Hyde Park, NY Maria Cristina Iucciolino of New Hyde Park, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She was 70 years old. The daughter of Irilia Piastrellini Sanchez the late Juan Adolfo Sanchez, Maria was born on May 30, 1948 in Argentina. Cristina grew up in San Rafael, Argentina being an exemplary student. She eventually became a school teacher in Argentina, as well as a piano teacher. She moved to the United States, where she studied and became a tax preparer, and eventually returned to her roots as a teacher by working as a teacher liaison in the Great Neck School District. She received many awards and recognition throughout the years for her community service work (with the Hispanic Community of Great Neck, as well as other community organizations), her work with the Catholic Church and her charity. She was deeply devoted to her family; her mother, her husband and her children, but most of all, her grandchildren whom she always loved and cherished so deeply. She loved to travel and loved helping people everywhere she went. She made friends with everyone she met. Throughout her life, she helped so many charities for children and animals. She had a heart of gold and truly was the most selfless person in the world. Survivors include her beloved Mother; Irilia Sanchez, brother; Adolfo Sanchez, husband; Pedro Iucciolino, daughter; Jessica Stueber and her husband Joseph, son; Peter Iucciolino, her grandchildren; Logan Kenney & Raelynn Stueber as well as many Godchildren whom she loved as if they were her own. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Bergen Funeral Service Inc, 102-17 101st Avenue, Ozone Park, NY 11416. A funeral service will take place at 7:00pm. Cremation will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.
