Obituary of Jesús Abreu

Jesús Abreu August 21, 1958 – December 23, 2018 Liberty, NY Mr. Jesús Abreu, a resident of Liberty, NY, succumbed to his battle with cancer, with his beloved family by his side, on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. He was 60 years old. The son of Marina Abreu and Aguedo Polanco, Jesús was born on August 21, 1958 in the Dominican Republic. A family statement reads: “Jesús loved music and dancing, especially Bachata. He was employed at the Monticello Raceway Casino as a machine repair technician, but was forced to give it up due to his declining health. He spent his free time with his children and nephews, roller skating, playing sports, and spoiling them. Jesús was the kindest, most affectionate, loving and caring individual you could ever meet.” Jesús is survived by his parents; Marina Abreu of Yonkers, NY and Aguedo Polanco of the Dominican Republic, his wife; Lilia Abreu, daughters; Milagros and Maria Abreu, sons; Joshua and David Abreu, sisters; Margarita Peguero, Genara Polanco, Maria Polanco, brothers; Félix, Mario, and Eude Polanco, as well as his extended family including his nieces, nephews and greats; William Aquino, Tony Aquino, Vickyanna Demora and Bianca Demora, whom also considered themselves his children. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at the White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road (Rte. 32), Newburgh, NY 12550. A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at the Calvary Cemetery, Route 94, New Windsor.
