Bruno Kreibich

Obituary of Bruno Kreibich

Highland Lake, NY - Formerly of Ridgewood, NY

Bruno Kreibich passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023, with his daughters by his side. He was 96 years young. Bruno was born in the Czech Republic then later moved to Germany. Ultimately, he settled in Ridgewood, NY where he met the love of his life Catherine Weidner. They married in 1961 and started a family. Bruno was a kind and loving father and husband.

Bruno was a talented musician and was fluent in four languages. He came to the United States as a musician and later became a successful business owner of Bruno's Repair of VW & Audi. He was extremely determined and succeeded in any passion he pursued. His main hobby was racing cars. Bruno was a fierce competitor which gained him the title "North American Pro Rally Champion." He loved speed and it was quite apparent in his snow-skiing and water-skiing abilities until the age of 88!

Bruno taught his daughters to follow their hearts and pursue their passions in life, regardless of obstacles. His legacy lives on in his family forever! He was a role model and mentor to many, including his grandchildren. He always had a smile on his face while telling them stories and sharing his knowledge. His passion for speed and music lives on in his lineage.

Private services will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. A Celebration of Life for Bruno will be held sometime in the summer in lieu of a funeral. He always wanted people to remember the happy moments in his life!
