Obituary of Scott D. Burns

Scott D. Burns, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side in Paramus, NJ, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Scott was born on April 11, 1954, to Elizabeth “Betty” (Ellis) Burns and Robert Burns in Englewood, NJ. He was one of six children. Scott graduated from Bergen Field High School in 1973 and was a passionate Arborist who served the northern New Jersey area for many decades.
Scott is survived by his children Tyler, Danielle, and Dakota Burns, sister Kathleen Hoffman, brother Joseph Burns, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024, at 10:00am at St. Paul’s RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave. Ramsey, NJ 07446. Interment will immediately follow at the Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of Scott be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
