Obituary of Peter Dominick Fragale Jr.

Bloomingburg, NY (Formerly of Lodi, NJ)

Peter Fragale, a resident of Bloomingburg, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 29, 2024. He was 72 years old. Peter was born to Peter Dominick Fragale Sr. and Rosario DeNobile Fragale. Peter was born on August 27, 1951, in Newton, NJ.

Peter had a passion for entertaining and would hold a crowd wherever he went. One of his many spotlights was music and he was a fantastic drummer. Early in his life he created a local touring group, Spit-N-Image. One of the highlights of his drumming career was playing at The Paramount Theater in Hackensack, NJ. Later in life he was part of a group, Issues of Faith. In 1972 he debuted in Professional Wrestling as “Pete Reeves”. Peter’s wrestling career took him traveling around the world, including a tour in Japan with the late Andre the Giant. Peter could be found on television most Saturdays chest chopping his opponents. He influenced the New Jersey Independent Circuit and worked in many federations including Capitol Wrestling Corporation, WWWF and New Japan Pro Wrestling. In 2013, Peter was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame and New Jersey Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. Peter was a Teamster Driver and loved his time pouring concrete. He also worked for the New York Times with the Teamsters as well. In his retirement, he enjoyed going to concerts but most of all, spending his time with his family.

Peter is survived by his sons, Danny, Peter III and wife Nicole, his daughter, DawnRose, daughter-in-law, Janelle and grandchildren, Dominick, Emma, Valentina and Sophia.

Peter was predeceased by his sisters, Rachel Rieger and Loretta Vitollo, his son Keith and many other beloved family members.

A memorial service & luncheon will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 12:00pm at the Bread of Life Church, 2876 Route 17K, Bullville, NY 10915.
